Dev Ventures is a small, direct-to-you clothing label. We make everyday pieces from natural fibers, in short runs, with people we know by name — and we'd rather you bought one thing you wear for years than five you forget by next season.
Our Story
We began with one shirt that wouldn't stop wearing out
Dev Ventures started because the wardrobe staples we wanted kept disappearing. A shirt we loved would be discontinued, remade in a thinner fabric, or priced as if the logo were the product. So we made our own — one linen shirt, cut and sewn a dozen different ways until the drape, the collar and the sleeve length were all right.
That approach hasn't changed. We still work with small mills and family-run ateliers, still produce in runs small enough that the person sewing your garment could tell you about it, and still test every fabric for how it holds up after a year of real use rather than a week on a rail.
What we sell is deliberately unremarkable: shirts, dresses, knitwear and outerwear that do their job quietly and keep doing it. The point isn't to be noticed. It's to be reached for.
What we hold to
Fewer, better pieces
We release small, tightly edited collections instead of a new drop every week. A style stays in the line as long as it earns its place — and gets quietly improved each time we make it again.
Natural fibers first
Cotton, linen, silk and wool, chosen for how they wear after fifty washes rather than how they photograph on day one. Where we use a blend, it's because the garment genuinely performs better for it.
Fit tested on real people
Every silhouette is sampled and worn for weeks across a range of body types before it's approved. If it pulls, rides up or needs constant adjusting, it doesn't ship.
Honest pricing
We sell direct, skip the wholesale markup, and put the difference back into fabric and finishing. No inflated MRP struck through to fake a discount.
How we got here
2021
Started in a two-room studio with a single linen shirt and a very patient tailor.
2022
Moved production to a family-run atelier outside Tiruppur that we still work with today.
2023
Introduced our first fully traceable cotton program, mill to finished garment.
2024
Opened the online store nationwide, shipping to every serviceable pin code in India.
2025
Crossed 50,000 garments made — and started a repair and take-back program for all of them.
